What is Net Operating Income?
Net operating income measures an income-producing property’s profitability and is a widely used operating performance and return metric indicator in the real estate industry. It is a key indicator of management’s operating efficiency, measuring investor income returns and is used in determining the market value of a property.
How to Calculate Net Operating Income?
To calculate NOI, you add all revenue generated within a specific period and subtract property level operating expenses.
NOI doesn’t incorporate income taxes, debt payments, depreciation, amortization, capital expenditures or market value adjustments.
At Equiton, our goal is to increase our NOI through strategic management and identification of value creation opportunities within our asset portfolio.
