BURLINGTON, ON – Equiton Residential Income Fund has closed on a new property acquisition in Chatham, Ontario. The purchase consists of 56 apartment units in two buildings. The property is in an excellent location in close proximity to the Thames River. It is minutes from the downtown node, the local hospital, Highway 401 and St. Clair College and is very accessible by public transit. Chatham, Ontario has a population of just over one hundred thousand and is within an hour of approximately one million residents.
The buildings are well-maintained and Equiton believes there is an opportunity for value-add improvements and operational efficiencies.
